The mission of this project is to inspire and motivate students to read by using an incentive program. Literacy is the key that opens all the other doors to learning and our students must be successful readers to be successful lifelong learners. It has long been proven that students are motivated by positive reinforcement and we have decided to use a points and store system to motivate students to read. Students earn points based on the books they read and tests they pass. They are then able to visit the AR store and use those points to purchase prizes. Our goal is the be stocked and ready to open after the first nine weeks of school. This program will be open to all students at Williston Elementary School, making it a widely impactful project.
