Keeneland Library & Museum Foundation

Keenland Library & Museum Foundation preserves history of Thoroughbred sport.

In September 2023, the Library launched The Heart of the Turf: Racing’s Black Pioneers traveling exhibit as an extension of their education and outreach initiatives in the community.

Tammy Gantt at FTBOA is working to bring the traveling exhibit, “The Heart of the Turf: Racing’s Black Pioneers,” that highlights the lives and careers of 100 African American horsemen and women from the mid-1800s to today to Florida – for the Florida TB museum, community programs (Boys/Girls Club, etc), and other locations to promote diversity in the sport in Marion and Levy County for June 2025. Big Lick Gives donated to this initiative.
